I’m a solo traveler, can I join with another group?
All Access ATX Tours are private experiences, so it is not possible to join with another party. We have taken solo guests on tours before, so if this is what you’re looking for we’d love to have you! Pricing for one guest is the same as the two person pricing listed online.
Do I need to book an Access ATX tour in advance?
Yes. We work with many great vendors to give you the most authentic local Austin experience and they require several days notice. We are sometimes able to accommodate last minute bookings, but book ahead for the best chance of availability.
Tours can be booked online up to 48 hours in advance. Please contact 512.999.TOUR (8687) to check availability within 48 hours of the tour.
What do I need to bring?
A great attitude, a camera if you’re the picture taking type, and comfortable shoes are recommended. We will provide bottled water and any food mentioned in the tour. Money for souvenirs or additional food and beverages is also suggested.
Do I tip the guides and drivers?
At Access ATX we want you enjoying the experience right up until the last minute, not digging through your pockets looking for cash. So tips are already included in the purchase price. However if you feel you received extraordinary service, additional gratuities are always appreciated.
Where will I meet the tour?
We offer complimentary downtown pick-up and drop-off for most Austin locations. If you are staying outside of our range, we will notify you of a central meeting location that varies by the tour.
Can I bring alcohol on the tour?
Yes, by Texas State Law, alcohol consumption is allowed in tourism vehicles. Except for the driver of course! You are welcome to bring beverages of any kind, including small coolers. However, this is not a “party bus”. Anyone disrupting the experience of other guests will be asked to leave, with no refund given. On private tours, you can get as rowdy as you want, but we will be charging you for any damages resulting from said behavior.
What happens during inclement weather?
Austin gets 300 days of sunshine a year, and our lakes slowly turning into puddles is proof there is not too much inclement weather. Most of our tours are driving and/or indoor-oriented, so only the serious weather will be cause for a cancellation. If this happens, you will be notified as soon as possible that the tour will not run. You will be fully refunded if the tour is cancelled due to weather.
What is the cancellation policy?
All Access ATX Tours require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve the tour date. This allows us to confirm space with the many local vendors we include on our tours, as well as to allow staff to plan a unique, custom experience for your group. Tours that are canceled within 48 hours will receive a 50% refund of the total booking price. Tours canceled within 48 hours will not be refunded. We pay many of our vendors weeks in advance and will not be receiving refunds from them for tours canceled so close to the departure day. Sorry.
We do realize that travel requires a degree of flexibility and often situations arise that are outside of our control. We do our best to work with all of our groups in the event that these things may arise. Please contact us as soon as possible if you encounter any changes to your travel plans, as we are often able to accommodate unexpected changes.
What is the age limit of the tour?
While we welcome guests of our ages, our tours do tend to cater towards an adult crowd. Contact us directly if you are wanting to plan a child-friendly Austin experience. All guests must be over 21 for tours that visit breweries, bars, or music venues.
